Exciting news!
We’re one step closer to removing the “beta” banner from StackStudio! Users now have the ability to control identity and access management settings for all AWS resources in a CloudFormation. We’re offering a few different ways to specify access rights. The first is a convenience mechanism for common settings:
If you didn’t find your exact setting in the prior list, you can specify any fine grained policy you wish:
In addition to IAM policies, we’ve added a new wizard for resource deletion policies. It’s common for certain services to remain running when a stack is deleted (like Elastic Load Balancers). Each resource in CloudFormation has an ‘on delete’ policy. We’ve made it easy to select the resources you want to keep and which need to go!
As with all of our wizards, your settings will be turned into CloudFormation syntax and be placed into your exportable template.
